What is Liquidium?

Liquidium is the leading platform enabling peer-to-peer Bitcoin lending. Users can borrow or lend Bitcoin, using unique Bitcoin-based assets called Ordinal Inscriptions (Ordinals) as collateral. This is facilitated securely through Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions (PSBTs) and Discreet Log Contracts (DLCs) all on Layer-1 Bitcoin.

What are Ordinals?

Ordinals are unique digital assets, similar to NFTs, but stored on the Bitcoin blockchain. They assign unique numbers to individual satoshis and can include inscriptions like images, texts, or code, up to 4 MB.

Which Wallets are supported?

Currently, Liquidium is compatible with Xverse and Magic Eden wallets. They are both available as browser extensions, which you can download here: Xverse | Magic Eden

We are looking into adding new wallets in the near future.

How do you connect your Wallet?

  1. Click “Connect” on the upper right of the page. Make sure you have Xverse or Magic Eden browser extension downloaded.

  2. Under “Select a wallet”, press the wallet of your choice.

NOTE: Currently, you can only access Magic Eden wallet on your desktop.

  1. Log in to Xverse or Magic Eden on the pop-up screen.

What collections can I find on Liquidium?

Liquidium features a diverse range of collections, sourced from Magic Eden’s API. To explore the current available collections, visit the website here.

If you have a collection to suggest, please reach out on Discord.

Does Liquidium use unconfirmed TXs?

No, Liquidium only uses confirmed Bitcoin. If you don't have enough BTC funds in your wallet, you will not be able to use Liquidium. Similarly, if your BTC is being sent but is unconfirmed, Liquidium will not use it in our TXs and therefore will not be used on Liquidium.

Is Liquidium in Open Beta?

As of April 2024, Liquidium v0.3 is now in open beta.
